What are they?

​

Woollocs are ultralight, 100% wool dreadlocks. They are hand-rolled and dyed right here on Vancouver Island in Nanaimo, BC. They are great for music festivals, special occassions, dances, club nights, or everyday wear. They are washable and can be made to order.

How do I order?

​

You can contact me to request pre-made or custom woollocs in any number, length, or colour(s).

The deposit is half the cost of your custom order. The other half, including cost of shipping (if applicable), is due upon fulfillment. Payable by e-transfer.

Characteristics

​

Accents: 2-20 strands

Dreadhawk: 20-30 strands

Full-head: 40-60 strands

​

Thickness ranges from 6 - 12 mm.

​

Length can be as short or as long as you like. Premade sizes are 10-15 inches (short) , 18-22 inches (medium), and 25-30 inches  (long). These are measured based on the strand being folded in half as it would during installation in your hair.

Accessories

​

I have a variety of metal accessories and charms for creating a look that is unique to you. These can be slipped onto the dread strands and removed for washing or sleeping if desired. You can also use your own if you prefer. 

​

Installation

 

Methods vary. You can braid them in yourself and tie off with small rubber elastics. There are lots of great youtube tutorials on this. I used this one because it offers a variety of ways. VIDEO.

​

You can also use elastics to tie them onto your hair tie and loop them over a bun for a much easier on and off at the end of the night / festival.
